Derrick Rose celebrates his 21st birthday (via By the Horns)
Good times, a cake from Jewel, the ability dunk/dish/drink… D. Rose has it all.
Not only did the action on the court deliver in almost script-perfect fashion — with British-national Luol Deng top-scoring on the night and a buzzer-beating basket from rookie James Johnson sealing a 102-101 win for Chicago — but crucially, for the first time in the three-year history of the fixture, the attention from the British media matched the passion of the sell-out crowd.
Things I learned from this panoramic photo:
- Despite mad cow-related import restrictions, Benny the Bull made it to the game
- British sports fans wear a lot of blazers
- I think John Lydon was there
This is the commercial (I think) for NBA 2K10! It’s funny so even non-basketball people could appreciate it. :D
Non-non basketball people appreciate how sucky D Rose is at trash talking.
Last week when the Jazz opened its exhibition season against Denver, two Jazz fans showed up, one with a Bulls jersey with Boozer written on the back and one with a Jazz jersey with Thomas written on the back, with a sign reading, “Trade Us.” Jazz players got a good laugh out of it.
